AsiaLuxe Holidays Gives Back...

AsiaLuxe Holidays (formerly Asian Affair Holidays) has been sending travelers to Asia for over 15 years. When we travel to Asia, we are charmed by the people who are always gracious and hospitable. We are especially enchanted by the smiles of the children. Many of them are living in poverty, yet they always have a shy smile for the foreign travelers who meet them. We are inspired to give back to these children by supporting several organizations that are making a difference to the children of Bali and Cambodia. The organizations are started by friends of Asia, who are ordinary travelers who decide to do something to help after their trips to Asia or tour companies which recognize the needs of the children as we work in these countries. We encourage you to see how you too can help.

PENCILS FOR KIDS

AsiaLuxe Holidays has pledged to donate US$10.00 to Pencils for Kids for every traveler we book to Bali. You can match our donation or give more to sponsor a backpack or a uniform to the students to continue their education.

Pencils for Kids, Inc. was founded on my steadfast belief that every child deserves an education…And that within each one of us is the ability to make a difference, but together we have the ability to make change. Please support us in our efforts, by making a generous donation and give a child the gift that lasts a lifetime….an education.

Please visit our website at www.pencilsforkidsinc.com and read our story, see what we are doing in Bali, see the beautiful children who will be receiving these backpacks and school supplies…and see how little it takes to make a difference. Donations can be made per backpack @$40 each, or in any amount you would like to contribute.

SENIWATI GALLERY

AsiaLuxe Holidays supports the women artists on the beautiful island of Bali. The painting on the new brochure cover is created by Sri Haryani, an artist at the Seniwati Gallery, Ubud, Bali. We sponsor a child in her art education. You can too!

Seniwati Gallery, Bali Children's School

The schoolgirls workshop was set up in 1993 as all other childrens workshops only took boys. We now have forty students aged from 5 to 15 years old. Each child is graced with remarkable talent, proven by winning a place in the school "Seniwati Sanggar Muda", through our annual competition.

Each child is sponsored by a kind person who pays Rupiah 400.00 per year (approx US$40) for tuition and materials costs. School costs are also supplemented by sales of the childrens’ colouring book and their paintings.

If you would like to become a sponsor, please contact us for more information. In return for your sponsorship you will receive regular progress reports on "your child" and of course a special painting. And, thank you!

Our children's art can be viewed in the extension to the main Gallery on Jalan Sriwedari.

If you happen to be visiting Bali, do come and visit a class, held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons between 2.00pm - 4.00pm across the road from our Gallery.

INDOCHINASTARFISH.ORG

Cambodia boasts of the magnificent temple complex of Angkor Wat, yet after years of war and unrest, the infrastructure of the society is just gradually being rebuilt. Many children don’t have education opportunities. Our representative company in Cambodia, Indochina Services has founded an organization to help the orphaned and the disadvantaged.  AsiaLuxe Holidays pledges to donate US$10 for every traveler we book to Cambodia. We encourage you to match our donation or give more.

USD 20 will cover the cost of one child’s family rations for 6 months!

The Indochina Starfish Foundation is an international charity operating in Cambodia. It is focused on making a difference to children in Cambodia specifically the street children of Phnom Penh and other cities.

The Foundation is focused on improving the lives of children in the cities of Cambodia through careful investment in support services, training and co-operation with other NGO’s (Non Governmental Organisations i.e. International and Local Charities) and the Royal Cambodian Government.

Please visit our website at www.indochinastarfish.org and learn how you can help.
